The SteadyStrider Treadmill enables rehab and older users to train confidently and at their own pace, safely and securely. Build confidence, step by step, with the completely removable support strap and hand rails, supplying extra padded hand support when needed, building gradually to unsupported walking.
The Orbit Fitness SteadyStrider SS242 Treadmill is a home walking treadmill designed for older users and rehabilitation-focused walking, with extended padded safety rails and a removable support strap providing additional support while exercising.
With a low 0.4km/h starting speed, the SteadyStrider allows users to begin at a comfortable walking pace and progress gradually up to 8km/h. Start/Stop and speed controls are positioned directly on the side rails, allowing key adjustments to be made from the supported walking position.

Extended Padded Safety Rails & Removable Support Strap
The SteadyStrider features extended padded side rails designed to provide additional hand support while walking.
A removable support strap is also included, providing another support point when required.
The removable support strap allows the setup to be adapted as required, while the extended rails remain available for hand support throughout the walking area.
The support features can be incorporated according to the user's individual training requirements.
0.4–8km/h Walking Speed
The SteadyStrider has a speed range of 0.4–8km/h, allowing users to begin at a slow walking pace and progressively adjust speed according to their ability and training requirements.
Quick-speed controls provide access to speeds from 1–8km/h.
The combination of a low starting speed and accessible controls makes the SS242 particularly suited to controlled home walking rather than high-speed running.

3 Manual Incline Settings
The SteadyStrider includes 3 manual incline settings, allowing the running deck angle to be adjusted before training.
Because the incline is manually adjusted rather than motorised, the treadmill should be stopped before changing the incline position.
Emergency Stop Switch & Tether
The SteadyStrider includes an emergency stop switch and tether.
The tether is designed to stop the treadmill if the safety connection is disengaged during use.
This operates alongside the padded rails and support strap as part of the treadmill's user-support features.
Folding & Transport
The SteadyStrider includes two transport wheels and a soft-drop lowering system to assist with repositioning and storage.
The treadmill can be folded only when the side safety rails have been removed.
